Frequently asked questions.
do you accept insurance?
No. I do not directly bill or contract with insurance companies. However, I am able to provide you with a Superbill to submit for reimbursement from your insurance. Reimbursements vary by insurance plan and that is something you would need to ask your insurance about directly. Please read the attached handout in the “For Patients” tab for more details about insurance reimbursement.
What is your cash pay price?
Check out my services for detailed information including the pricing along with my 4 package/bundle offers.
Do you have an office location?
Yes. My office is located in the Issaquah Work Lofts- right off Gilman Blvd. I also offer home visits for postpartum care and for those in need of in-home care.
How can we stay connected once I am your patient?
I use the electronic health record called Charm. That is where any labs or documents can be shared between us. You will create a patient portal through Charm and that is where appointment scheduling will happen. My phone system is through a HIPPA compliant system called Spruce that allows us to call and text and video call securely. While my services do not include on-call services, I usually am quick to respond to messages.
DO you order labs or prescribe medications?
Yes. I can absolutely order labs and prescribe medications. I will only do so if that is relevant to our work together- focused on your postpartum wellness. I encourage all of my patient’s to also have a primary care provider to manage concerns or medications that may be outside of my scope of care. When I order labs, it will require you to go to testing facility as I do not have the ability to collect and process labs doing home-visits. I work with Labcorp or Quest and there are many testing facilities for you to go to in the area.
Are you a doula?
No, I am not a doula. I was a birth and loss doula prior to becoming a Naturopathic Doctor - which informs so much of my passion and care for new families. While some aspects of my work may be similar to a postpartum doula, it is much more specialized and holistic with a wider scope of offerings and actual medical care. Postpartum doulas are incredible and I also recommend families hire them for more logistical support around the house.
Do you see children or provide newborn care?
No. I do not provide pediatric services. I highly encourage all of my patient’s to have a skilled Pediatrician on board to help care for their new baby.
